If you are caught triple riding, the total challan often multiplies depending on the following factors:

• No Helmet for Pillion Riders: Even if the rider is wearing a helmet, if the other two passengers are not, an additional fine of ₹1,000 is levied.

• License Suspension: Under Section 194C of the Motor Vehicles Act, triple riding (classified as overloading a two-wheeler) can also lead to the disqualification of your driving license for up to 3 months.

How to Check or Pay Your Challan Online

If you think you have been issued a digital e-challan via AI cameras in UP, you can easily verify it online:

1. Visit the official Parivahan E-Challan Portal (echallan.parivahan.gov.in) or use the mParivahan mobile app.

2. Enter your Vehicle Number, Challan Number, or Driving License (DL) Number.

3. Verify the details (you can also view the photographic evidence captured by the camera).

4. Pay securely using UPI, Net Banking, or a Credit/Debit card.

⚠️ Warning: Never just ignore an incorrect challan. An unresolved challan can block your insurance renewals, stop you from selling/transferring the vehicle, or eventually result in physical court summons.
