• Live Location Sharing: Instantly sends real-time GPS coordinates to your registered emergency contacts when a theft or suspicious event is triggered.

• SIM Removal & Reboot Alerts: Detects when the SIM card is removed or an unauthorized restart occurs, immediately notifying emergency contacts.

• High-Priority Siren Alerts: Emergency contacts receive loud siren notifications on their phones, overriding silent mode settings.

• Mobile Safety QR Sticker (Optional): Allows anyone who finds or recovers the phone to scan a physical QR code on the device case. It routes calls via call masking to keep your personal number private.

Setup Instructions

1. Download Nek Insan: Safety QR SOS Alert from the Google Play Store.

2. Register your phone number and navigate to Profile > Emergency Contacts to add trusted family members.

3. Enable the Phone Theft Protection toggle in the app settings.

4. Provide necessary device permissions (Camera, Location, and Device Admin for reboot/lock-screen monitoring).

How does Phone Theft works in NekInsan App?

The anti-theft functionality in the Nek Insan app operates through background security triggers, live location tracking, and an optional physical QR code system.

Automated Security Triggers

• Intruder Detection: If someone enters an incorrect PIN, password, or pattern on the lock screen, the app secretly captures a photo using the front camera.
   
• Tamper Monitoring: The app automatically flags suspicious activity if someone attempts to eject the SIM card or power down/reboot the device.

   

Real-Time Emergency Alerts

• Instant Photo & GPS Sharing: Once triggered, the app captures the device's exact GPS coordinates along with the intruder's photo and sends them to registered emergency contacts.

   

• Priority Siren Notification: Trusted contacts receive a high-priority alert that overrides silent/Do Not Disturb mode, sounding a loud siren to prompt immediate action.
   
• Emergency Contact Access: Family members can track the device's live movement on a map once the security alert is active.

   

Physical QR Sticker Recovery

• Good Samaritan Scanning: If an honest bystander or police officer finds the phone, they can scan a physical QR sticker on the back of the case using any standard smartphone camera.

   

• Call Masking: The finder can tap to call you or your family members via a virtual, masked phone system that keeps your actual phone number confidential.
   
• Scan Timestamp: Scanning the sticker logs the location, date, and time, instantly pushing an alert to your emergency contacts.
