Checking and paying your e-challan in Maharashtra is a straightforward digital process. You have two main official options: the state-specific portal and the central government's Parivahan portal.

Option 1: Maharashtra Traffic Police Portal (Recommended)

This is the most direct way for state-specific violations like overspeeding on the Expressway.

1. Visit the Portal: Go to mahatrafficechallan.gov.in.

2. Enter Details: You can search by Challan Number or Vehicle Number.

   • If using the Vehicle Number, you must also provide the last 4 digits of the Engine or Chassis Number (found on your RC).

3. Verify Captcha: Enter the characters shown on the screen and click Submit.

4. View & Pay: A list of pending challans will appear. Select the overspeeding challan and click the Payment icon.

5. Complete Transaction: Choose your preferred method (UPI, Net Banking, or Credit/Debit Card).

6. Download Receipt: Once successful, save the digital receipt for your records.

Option 2: Parivahan Portal (Central Govt)

This portal works for all traffic fines across India.

2. Check Status: Click on the 'Check Online Services' tab and select 'Check Challan Status'.

3. Input Data: Enter your Challan Number, Vehicle Number, or Driving License (DL) Number.

4. Get Details: Enter the Captcha and click 'Get Detail'.

Option 3: MahaTraffic Mobile App

If you want to track multiple vehicles or get instant notifications:

• Download the MahaTrafficapp (available on Play Store and App Store).

• Register with your mobile number.

• Go to 'My E-Challans' to see any active fines linked to your vehicle number.
