FREE Tracking App in India
It is designed less for continuous, general-purpose tracking and more for providing location information in an emergency.
Here are the three primary ways the tracking feature works:
1. Route Tracking (Real-Time Journey Sharing)
This is the continuous tracking feature used for travel safety.
-
What it does: Allows a user to share their real-time location and current speed with pre-selected family members or friends for the duration of a journey.
-
Key Safety Alerts: It automatically notifies your contacts if you are over-speeding or if the app detects rash driving. It can even play personalized audio warnings from family members through the driver's phone speaker to encourage them to slow down.
-
How to use: You select the "Route Tracking" option in the app, enter your destination, select the contact to share with, and tap "Start."
2. Event-Driven "Find Location" (QR Code-Based)
This feature is passive and requires a "Good Samaritan" to activate it. It's the core of their safety QR products for vehicles, pets, children, and belongings.
-
What it does: If someone scans the QR sticker (e.g., on your car after an accident, or on a lost key set), the tracking is activated.
-
Location Alert: You and your emergency contacts immediately receive a siren alert with the precise GPS location, date, and time of the scan.
-
Context: The scanner can optionally capture and send photos or videos of the situation (e.g., car damage, a lost pet).
-
Privacy: Calls between the scanner and the owner are made using Call Masking so personal phone numbers remain hidden.
3. SOS Feature (Emergency Tracking)
This is an active, user-initiated emergency trigger.
-
What it does: Pressing the SOS button in the app immediately broadcasts your live GPS location to your pre-selected emergency contacts.
-
Priority Alert: It triggers a siren alert on the recipients' phones, even if they are on silent or locked.
-
Multimedia: It allows you to send a short audio/video message along with the location to provide context about the emergency.
Setting up your contacts and getting the physical stickers are the two most important steps for utilizing the Nekinsan safety system.
Here is a guide on how to handle both:
📱 How to Set Up Emergency Contacts (App-Based)
The Emergency Contact list is critical because these are the people who receive the Siren Alert and your Live Location when you trigger the in-app SOS or if your QR code is scanned.
-
Download the App: Find and install the "Nek Insan: Safety QR SOS Alert" app from the Google Play Store (it's primarily available for Android).
-
Log In/Sign Up: Log in using your mobile number.
-
Go to Profile/Menu: Look for the Profile or Menu section, typically located at the bottom or top corner of the app screen.
-
Find the Contact List: Tap on the option labeled "Emergency Contact" or "Family Numbers."
-
Add Contacts: Add the phone numbers of your trusted family members and friends. You can usually add multiple contacts.
Note: The Nekinsan system is designed to trigger a loud, high-priority siren alert on these contacts' phones, even if their screen is locked or the phone is on silent, ensuring they see your emergency notification immediately.

How to Activate the Sticker
Once you receive your physical sticker:
-
Open the App: Launch the Nekinsan app.
-
Scan to Register: Use the "Scan to Call" or "Register Sticker" feature within the app.
-
Link to Profile: Scan the new QR code. The app will prompt you to link the sticker to your profile (and details like your vehicle number, if applicable).
Now, if a Good Samaritan scans that QR code, the system will know exactly who to notify (your Emergency Contacts) with the location of the scan.
