Emergency Ambulance Calling
Here's how it generally works:
1. The "Jeevan Raksha" QR Sticker:
-
NekInsan provides QR code stickers (often called "Jeevan Raksha" or "Safety QR") that can be placed on vehicles like cars and bikes, or on personal belongings.
-
The idea is that in case of an accident, a bystander, police officer, or an ambulance driver can scan the QR code.
2. The Scanning and Alert Process:
-
The QR code can be scanned using the Nekinsan app or any standard QR scanner (like Google Pay or Paytm).
-
Upon scanning, the person is given options, such as "Accident Assistance" or "Wrong Parking."
-
If "Accident Assistance" is selected, the scanner can take a photo or video of the accident scene.
-
This media, along with the precise GPS location, time, and date, is instantly sent as a siren alert to the vehicle owner and their pre-registered emergency contacts. The alert appears on their phone screens, even if they are locked.
3. Connecting to Emergency Services and Contacts:
-
A key feature is that a masked call is initiated, which connects the person who scanned the QR code directly to the vehicle owner's emergency contacts. This protects the privacy of both parties by not revealing their actual phone numbers.
-
After the call ends, a pop-up with a list of emergency helpline numbers (including police, ambulance, fire, etc.) appears on the scanner's screen, allowing them to call for further assistance.
-
The system also enables real-time location sharing, allowing the vehicle owner, their contacts, and even emergency services like an ambulance to track the location on a single map.
4. Additional Features:
-
SOS Feature: The Nekinsan mobile app also has a free SOS feature that allows a user to initiate an alert and send their location to emergency contacts with the touch of a button. They can also record a short audio or video message to provide context.
-
IVR Call Option: For situations with no internet connection or for those with basic keypad phones, the stickers contain a helpline number and a unique extension. This allows a person to call and get connected to the owner and their emergency contacts.
In essence, NekInsan's system acts as a digital safety net. It bridges the communication gap during an emergency by instantly notifying a victim's family and providing crucial location and incident details, which can be vital for a timely medical response and potentially save a life.
